October 15, 2024
Work is beginning on the building stabilization and repairs on the Dickenson and Main buildings on the campus of the Piedmont Valley Community College in Charlottsville, Virginia. Our project manager is Melissa Worrell and our project superintendent, Dave McCallister, is coordinating the work on site. FES Group LLC will be installing helical piles and concrete grade beams to stabilize both buildings. TAB Repairs will be providing all masonry repairs. This project will also require exterior masonry repairs, exterior concrete sidewalk installations, interior floor, window and wall repairs.
Stratified is gearing up to begin our next big project, the complex renovations of the boardwalk and observation tower on Hart Miller Island. The project manager is Clive Diaz and the superintendent is Richard Heath. This project involves replacing the roof, skylights, exterior planks, and decking. This project is being done for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
Stratified continues to excel in providing inspection and testing services. Our experienced staff of certified inspectors are currently working on projects throughout our service area.
Newly awarded projects for Stratified include HVAC repairs in building 490 at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, Maryland. Stratified will also be providing abatement services in building 1220.
Stratified continues working on the Mesonet Weather Stations. Stratified is installing these stations for the Maryland Environmental Services in Region 1 (Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester Counties) and Region 2 (Kent, Queen Anne, Caroline and Talbot Counties).
Stratified has completed work at the City of Salisbury Truitt Street Community Center Expansion. Stratified installed / finished the floors in the new expansion as well as installed new windows, doors and exterior deck and stairs.
Upcoming for Stratified is the stream restoration at the Myrtle Grove Wildlife Management Area. Stratified will replace a retaining wall, shore up the stream bed, replace a culvert and create a drive over bridge.
Stratified has a General Contracting Task Order contract with the University of Maryland College Park for general repairs and renovations. This contract has awarded Stratified with several opportunities to provide the University with our quality services.
February 6, 2025
The newest project for Stratified is the replacement of 89 bus stops in Northwest Baltimore to make the ADA compliant. Work should begin in May 2025.
We will begin work soon on our latest project to replace the ceiling and lights at the American Legion Hall on Kent Island.
The work on Hart Miller Island is almost complete. Winter weather stalled our work when the harbor and piers got iced over.
We are currently providing testing and inspection services to projects including Garnet Patterson ES, DC Water BioSolids Curing Pad, Jo Wilson ES in DC, White House Project G, Piedmont Virginia Community College Exterior Renovations, Hanger 14 Restoration at Joint Base Andrews, The Purple Line Light Rail Project and Myrtle Grove Stream Restoration.
We have completed 2 additional projects at the University of Maryland. We will be installing new handrails on the Truitt Street Community Center Expansion in Salisbury, Maryland.
We are working in Northampton County Virginia to make foundation repairs at a school in the district.
We continue to provide services to the International Monetary Fund at the Headquarters in Washington, DC.
